Gorton and Company is a CPA firm located in Danvers, Massachusetts. We formed in early 2015 and, over the years, have grown from 5 to 23 people. Most of that growth has been in the form of acquisitions in the last two years.

Before starting Gorton and Company, owner Bob Gorton had known Tech Advisors’ Konrad Martin for nearly 20 years, having met at a golf club where they were both members. When Bob decided to form the firm, Konrad was one of the first calls Bob made. They had dinner and talked about the plans for Gorton and Company and how Konrad and his team would be able to help. Konrad and Tech Advisors have effectively been with us since day one as friends and one of our most valuable partners.

Knowing what we wanted to accomplish and that we wanted to be ahead of the tech curve is why we called Tech Advisors. Working with them gives us peace of mind. They’ve got a really good team, and the whole staff is very committed. There have been a lot of changes in technology like cybersecurity, among other things, and Tech Advisors has kept us on top of it.

Across our industries, we are held to a high standard when it comes to regulations and security. We have a lot of sensitive information that we need to keep confidential and secure. The Tech Advisors team gives us the comfort of knowing it’s being handled the right way.

It’s more than just compliance and infrastructure. It’s knowing that our technology is keeping ahead of the curve and reliable. As a CPA firm, we can’t afford downtime, and Tech Advisors monitors us 24/7 to ensure we don’t have to experience that. They keep us up to date and in line with current technology regulations, and they make the process easy.

Three years ago, we approached Tech Advisors because we wanted to make the company completely cloud based. They talked us through how that was going to work, and we worked together to make it happen. God forbid something happens to this building, we would be up and running tomorrow because of how Tech Advisors has us set up.

To fellow businesses: taking care of your IT in-house may seem more affordable, but outsourcing is definitely the way to go. We are firm believers that you get what you pay for, and the amount of time and money you save on compliance, insurance, and downtime with a firm like Tech Advisors makes it far more valuable than trying to do it on your own.

If we have an issue, we know Tech Advisors will call us back that day and get the issue resolved.

That’s what their entire team is dedicated to doing. We don’t have to worry about a thing.
