Last updated: May 18, 2026

Tech Advisors, Inc. (“Tech Advisors,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit https://tech-adv.com (the “Website”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to information collected through the Website, our online contact forms, and the tracking technologies described below.

1. Information we collect

We collect three categories of information:

  • Information you provide. When you submit a contact form, request our pricing guide, sign up for the free IT assessment, or otherwise contact us, you give us your name, email address, phone number, company name, and any message content you choose to include.
  • Information collected automatically. When you visit the Website our servers and analytics providers receive your IP address (used to determine country/region for consent purposes), browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, the pages you view on the Website, and timestamps. We use Vercel’s edge network for hosting, which logs this information for security and performance.
  • Information from cookies and similar technologies. See Section 4 for a complete list of trackers we use.

2. How we use your information

  • To respond to inquiries and provide the services you request
  • To send marketing communications (only with your consent, where required by law)
  • To analyze how the Website is used so we can improve it
  • To prevent fraud and abuse (Cloudflare Turnstile bot-protection on forms)
  • To comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms

For EU / UK visitors: our legal bases are (a) consent for analytics and marketing cookies, (b) legitimate interest for security and fraud prevention, and (c) contract / pre-contractual steps when you ask us about our services.

3. Who we share information with

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it with service providers who help us operate, and only for the purpose they were engaged for:

We may also disclose information when required by law (subpoena, court order, regulatory request) or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or asset sale.

4. Cookies & tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies. When you first visit from an EU, EEA, UK, Swiss, or California IP address you will see a consent banner asking you to choose; until you do, we do not set analytics or marketing cookies. From other regions we set cookies by default but you can withdraw consent at any time — see Section 5.

We honour the Google Consent Mode v2 signal across all Google services and the same signal across our other vendors. The cookies and trackers we currently use are:

5. Your choices

You can change your cookie preferences at any time:

  • Click the Cookie icon on the right edge of any page, or use from anywhere — both open the cookie settings dialog with granular toggles for Analytics and Marketing.
  • You can also opt out at the browser level: every modern browser lets you block third-party cookies under Settings → Privacy.
  • To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • To unsubscribe from marketing email from us, click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or contact us directly at info@tech-adv.com.

6. EU / EEA / UK rights

If you are in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure (“right to be forgotten”) — ask us to delete your data
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
  • Portability — receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest, including direct marketing
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (the ICO in the UK)

Tech Advisors is based in the United States. When data leaves the EU/UK on its way to us or our service providers, the transfer is supported by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@tech-adv.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. California rights — Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the following rights:

  • Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share
  • Right to delete personal information we hold about you
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information
  • Right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising
  • Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information
  • Right of non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights

We do not sell personal information for money. Some uses of analytics and marketing trackers can qualify as “sharing” under the CPRA’s broad definition. You can opt out of all such sharing by clicking and turning off the Analytics and Marketing toggles. This is our “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism.

You may also submit a verifiable consumer request by emailing info@tech-adv.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

8. Data retention

Contact-form submissions stored in our CRM (HubSpot) are retained for the duration of our relationship plus seven years, after which we delete or anonymise them. Analytics data in Google Analytics 4 is retained for up to 13 months; longer-term reports use aggregated data only. Server access logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging.

9. Data security

As an MSP and MSSP serving CPA firms, we take data security seriously. We use TLS encryption in transit, role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication on administrative accounts, and continuous security monitoring through our 24/7 SOC. No system is perfectly secure, but we apply the same controls we recommend to our clients.

10. Children’s privacy

The Website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change, and material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for 30 days after they take effect.
